CNG Infrastructure
Developing capability in compressed natural gas infrastructure, including compression, storage and distribution equipment packages structured with technical partners.

Energy & gas
Kestrel is developing corporate capability and seeking opportunities across Nigeria's gas value chain, structuring projects with technical partners and equipment manufacturers.
Corporate mandate
Nigeria's gas resources are central to industrial growth, power reliability and cleaner domestic energy. Kestrel's corporate mandate covers conventional petroleum activity alongside the development of gas infrastructure opportunities.
Kestrel does not own or operate LNG plants, CNG facilities or pipelines. Our role is to develop opportunities, structure scopes with qualified technical partners and OEMs, and provide the Nigerian engineering, procurement and coordination capability required to take projects forward.

Policy context
These establish that the Federal Government of Nigeria holds exclusive ownership and control over all mineral resources, petroleum and natural gas within Nigerian land, territorial waters and the Exclusive Economic Zone.
The PIA structurally overhauled the industry by unbundling the state-run oil firm into a commercial entity (NNPC Limited) and establishing two independent regulators: the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) and the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).
